Description
FLECAINIDE (TAMBOCOR) TABLET – TREATMENT FOR TREAT IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT
Flecainide is a Class IC anti-arrhythmic that is used in certain situations to prevent serious heart rhythm disorders. Flecainide may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Warnings
If you have a serious heart condition, such as bundle branch block or AV block (without a pacemaker), or if your heart cannot pump blood properly, you should not use flecainide.
You may be given your first dose in a hospital or clinic setting to treat any serious side effects as soon as possible.
Before using this medication,
You should not use flecainide if you are allergic to it or if you have any of the following conditions:
unless you have a pacemaker; or if you have a serious heart condition such as bundle branch block or AV block; or
Your heart is unable to properly pump blood.
Inform your doctor if you’ve ever had:
an attack of the heart;
Flecainide side effects
If you have hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, seek emergency medical attention.
Flecainide has the potential to cause serious side effects. If you have any of the following symptoms, contact your doctor right away:
heartbeats that are too fast or too fast;
fluttering in your chest, shortness of breath, and dizziness (as if you’re about to pass out);
Slow heart rate, weak pulse, and slow breathing (possibly stopping);
being out of breath;
swollenness, rapid weight gain
dizziness;
vision issues;
breathing difficulties;
headache;
or nausea
red.
