Description
ACALABRUTINIB (CALQUENCE) CAPSULES – TREATMENT FOR CANCER
Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL; a rapidly progressing malignancy that starts in immune system cells) is treated with acalabrutinib in patients who have recently undergone at least one previous chemotherapy treatment for the disease. Acalabrutinib belongs to the group of medications known as kinase inhibitors. It functions by preventing the aberrant protein’s ability to signal the growth of cancer cells. This aids in halting the growth of cancer cells.
Adults with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who have received at least one prior treatment for their malignant development are prescribed the medication CALQUENCE.
It is unknown if CALQUENCE is effective and safe for use in kids.
Side Effects:

- abdominal pain
- rash
- small red or purple spots on the skin
- muscle pain
- extreme tiredness,
- headache
- nausea
- vomiting
- constipation
