APREPITANT (APRISET) INJECTION – TREATMENT OF NAUSEA AND VOMITING DUE TO CHEMOTHERAPY

Aprepitant Apriset Injection is a prescription medication used to prevent chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. It is also used in adults to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting.

Your doctor or nurse will administer the Apriset Injection. You should continue to take this medication for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment too soon, your symptoms may return and your condition may worsen. Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, as some may interact with or be affected by this medication.

Side effects

Headaches, hiccups, loss of appetite, fatigue, and constipation are the most common side effects. The majority of these are temporary and usually go away with time. If you are concerned about any of these side effects, contact your doctor right away. Because this medication may cause diarrhea, it is important to drink plenty of fluids while taking it to avoid dehydration. It may also cause dizziness, so avoid driving or doing anything else that requires mental focus until you know how this medication affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication because it can make you sleepy.
